Based in Derbyshire, UK, King of the Hill Stables prides itself on the fine horses that it produces and trains. Built on the land of an Elizabethan manor house, the facility was an ongoing project for the two families that own it for a few years before it officially opened in early 2018. Though building work still continues as more is added to the stables, the small nature of King of the Hill is not holding the horses that reside there back in any way.

Our Policies
- We only request a breeding reserve to horses we sell if we have raced them for more than six races.
- If you buy/breed from us, you may sell/retire/geld the horse without asking for prior permission from us. As far as we are concerned, the horse is yours to do what you wish with.
- We will only reclaim a horse due to inactivity. The length of inactivity required before the occurs depends upon a member's activity beforehand.
- If you have a breeding reserve, we are very unlikely to say no to whichever pairing you want to use it with. However, we would still like to be informed about the pairing beforehand so that we can double check its validity and that the horses are not directly related.
- Our standard payment for leasing a horse for a season for a stallion is two breeding reserves to the horse, or one breeding reserve to two equivalent horses. For a mare, it is one breeding reserve to the mare and one to a equivalent stallion, or one breeding reserve to two equivalent horses. For half a season, this payment is halved. You may decide which payment you receive.

Trainer
William Smith was a trainer looking for a new challenge when he stumbled upon King of the Hill Stables. Bored of where he previous was and seeing potential in the small stable, he and Arthur quickly struck a deal and he began work a week later. |
Jockey
A local lad, James Grey used to watched the horses train in "secret". In reality, everybody knew that he was there, and one day Peter pointed this out and offered to teach the young man if he wanted. James leapt at the offer and is currently training to be a professional jockey, taking on the calmer horses for races whenever Peter thinks he is ready. |
Groom
Clara Adams has always loved horses. She dreams of owning her own racing table one day but, for now, she's happy to gain experience as a groom. |
Jockey
Nick Saxon, Arthur's cousin as self described "bad boy", used to work at Arthur's father's stable too. However, after a falling out with his uncle, he decided to join his cousin instead. Nick turned up without warning and announced that he was their newest jockey. Thankfully for him, Arthur is too nice to tell him to go away. Peter, on the other hand, doesn't have such an issue. |
